These terms govern your use of the Holding-Period Lot Tracker (referred to here as "the tool," "we," or "us" — operated by BlueZero, SLU), a free web tool that reads a broker export you upload, matches it into tax lots using FIFO, and shows a countdown to the date each lot becomes eligible for a holding-period-based capital gains exemption under the rules of a tax residency you select. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
This is the most important section. The tool is an informational calculator, not a tax advisor, and nothing it shows you is tax, legal, financial, or investment advice. The exemption dates and thresholds it displays are computed from tax rules we've researched and cited against official or well-corroborated sources — see the source link next to every result — but tax law changes, our information about it can be out of date or wrong, and a rule can depend on facts about your specific situation that a CSV export doesn't capture. Verify every result with a qualified tax professional or your national tax authority before filing anything, selling anything, or making any decision based on it.
The tool computes results entirely from the file you upload and the country you select. It cannot verify that your export is complete, correctly formatted, or that you selected the right broker or the right tax residency — if any of those are wrong, the results will be too. You're responsible for checking that what you upload and select is accurate before relying on anything the tool shows you.
The tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its calculations are accurate or current. Tax rules are re-verified periodically, not continuously; a rule can go stale between reviews.
To the maximum extent permitted by Spanish law, BlueZero, SLU is not liable for any loss or damage — including a tax penalty, a missed exemption, or any other financial loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this tool, however that loss came about. Nothing in these terms excludes a liability that the law you're protected by does not allow us to exclude.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who does. Uploads and account creation are already rate-limited technically — see the privacy policy for what that logs.
Account creation is optional. If you create one, you're responsible for keeping your password and access to your email address secure — anyone who has both can sign in as you. You agree to provide an email address you actually control, since it's the only way we can verify it's you (via the two-factor code) and the only way to reset your password if you forget it. One account per person; don't share credentials. You can change your password at any time from the account page.
You can delete your saved portfolio, or your account entirely, at any time from the account page — account deletion asks you to re-enter your password to confirm, is immediate, and cannot be undone. We may also suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, or close account mode on this deployment entirely — in which case existing saved portfolios would no longer be reachable through it.
We don't promise the tool will always be available. It may be down for maintenance, broken by a bug, or discontinued entirely, without notice, and we're not liable for any consequence of that.
We may change the tool — including which brokers, countries, or features it supports — or these terms, at any time. If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the tool after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute arising from them will be handled in the courts of Spain — except to the extent a mandatory consumer-protection law where you live gives you a right to a different forum that this clause can't override.
